On the 10th of December, 9am, Marketing Comm had our second meeting cum worksession! And, as expected, we had FULL ATTENDANCE YAY!!!!! *claps*. Damn zai right. Anyway, the meeting was held in conjunction with the first testing by the Ops&Tech team, which provided a good opportunity for us to learn more about the technical details of the reed bed. We thought it'd be good to be more involved with what the other comms are working on. Y'know, just in case the companies we approach decide to call us up to meet them, we'll be armed with enough content to give a good explanation. Okay I take back my words, OF COURSE they'll want to meet us (duh!)
First up on the agenda was drafting the master copy of our sponsorship proposal. Basically our approach is to include every single detail in the master copy. It'll then be used as a reference to draft specific proposals for different types of organisations/companies. We'll need loads of details from other committees, ops&tech and programmes especially!
Next, we updated the list of companies we can approach, including some background research, what we can obtain from them, what we can provide them with, and any other important details about them. We're looking into a few engineering-related companies (PUB's our main target), companies that can provide logistics (e.g. water testing kits), and any other organisation that might be willing to provide monetary sponsorship.
HAHAHA ARUN.
Yes this picture might be a little misleading, but we were actually getting work done okay.
Lastly, we drafted an email template (again, it's a master copy which we will modify accordingly for different companies). The aim is to be as succinct and as specific as possible, so we can grab the sponsors' attention and prompt them to read our proposal in the attachment.
Look at them playing osu! so intensely hahahahaha
Okay that's about it for now! Enjoy your holidays guys, and jiayou to the other comms too!
