Team CHEWAY! is finally back into action after our finals...
In preparation towards our local CIP, the team attended a briefing conducted by our partner, Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre (FSC). The pre-CIP aims to prepare the members towards our trip to Tacloban, by conducting our educational and interactive activities for the FSC. In addition, we hope to enhance the social interaction between the children in the family centre through our activities.
We will be conducting a 2-days programme for 2 branches of the FSC, Cheng San and Seng Kang. The team will be divided into 2 smaller teams in order to conduct the programme.
The briefing has allowed the team to gather valuable insights to the demographic of the children in the centres, and the advice given by the staffs were helpful in guiding us to manage the children better. The briefing was followed by a site recce, to aid us in planning of the programme.
Overall, we have gathered useful information during the briefing and recce. The next 2 months leading up to our trip will be a tedious period, but I am sure the whole team will stay together and make Project CHEWAY! a successful and meaningful one.
